TAMPA, Fla. — Good news for transatlantic flyers: Nonstop flights to Amsterdam are returning to Tampa International Airport in the fall.

Delta Air Lines will offer the route starting on Oct. 26 through March 29, 2025, the airport said in its announcement. Departure flights to Amsterdam from Tampa are scheduled at 7:55 p.m. with a 10:45 a.m. arrival the next day.

Inbound flights from Amsterdam have a 12:35 p.m. scheduled departure and 4:55 p.m. arrival in Tampa Bay.

The airport used to offer the service before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019. It was Delta's first long-haul international route from Tampa.

Delta's Tampa-Amsterdam route will provide travelers with added connections to destinations across Europe and the globe, the airline said.

“By seamlessly linking Amsterdam’s vibrant international hub—Delta’s most-served airport in Europe—with Tampa Bay’s renowned beaches, Delta is offering customers a gateway to explore the best of Europe and America,” said Matteo Curcio, a Delta senior vice president.

The news release stated Amsterdam is a targeted destination for Tampa, and the routes will open the Tampa Bay area to more tourism and business opportunities.

There are currently no nonstop flights from Tampa to Amsterdam out of Tampa International Airport. Daily flights aboard a 282-seat Airbus A330-300 will be available for sale starting Saturday.

The flight will feature 34 lie-flat seats in the airline's premium Delta One seating in addition to 21 Delta Premium Select seats with wider cushions.
