TOWN 'N' COUNTRY, Fla. — A dog is free from harm following a house fire in Town N’ Country.

Multiple people called Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews to an apparent house fire just before 2:30 a.m. on April 18 at Eldorado Drive in Town N’ Country, according to a news release.

Crews were met with heavy flames as they arrived, so they walked into the home to fight the fire. It took them 15 minutes to control the flames, the release said.

Once the fire settled down, crews began to search the house to see if anybody was there. They eventually found a dog but didn’t find anyone else. Firefighters, those nearby and the dog did not get hurt during the blaze, officials said.

Investigators later determined the cause of the fire to be electrical.
