EDGEWATER, Fla. — Florida authorities say the search is over for a 2-year-old boy they said could be traveling to the Brandon area. The child is safe, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

A Florida Missing Child Alert was issued for Rowan Renauld who had been last seen on North Ridgewood Avenue in Edgewater.

Rowan is described as 2-foot-5 and 28 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with "Chill Out" written on it, khaki shorts, red socks and black Vans sneakers with blue stars.

Authorities believed at the time he may be with Robert Renauld, who is 5-foot-10 with brown hair and blue eyes. Robert is also said to have a scar on the left side of his nose.

According to the FDLE in the alert, the pair might have been traveling in a 2004 white Chevrolet Cavalier. The car reportedly had no grill plate or hubcaps and had a dent on the left rear bumper, FDLE said.

Robert and Rowan were believed to be heading to the Brandon or Fort Myers area.
