PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A Silver Alert was issued for a missing 70-year-old man last seen at his home in Pinellas County.
James Joseph Elmi was last seen at about 10 a.m. on Friday at his house at 2900 Cove Cay Drive and was last spoken to by phone at 5:45 p.m. Friday, according to a news release by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
He is white, 5 feet and 8 inches tall and 205 pounds with blue eyes and salt and pepper hair. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt with tan shirts.
He is believed to be driving a 2023 light blue Volkswagen Taos with the tag IFJ550 that might have a scrape on the back passenger door. His vehicle was last seen in Seminole County and his phone last pinged in Marion County, deputies said.
