TAMPA, Fla. — Drivers commuting in Tampa are advised to use caution on Hoover Boulevard at least through Tuesday, the Tampa Water Department said in a news release.
Lanes on Hoover Boulevard located between West Hanna Avenue and West Knox Street in Tampa will be closed Thursday as the water department repair a broken water main.
Barricades and signs are in the area to help direct drivers to alternative routes, the release said.
The department expects traffic to return to normal by 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, when they will provide an update. Provided weather conditions remain fair, crews may need to return later for additional work on the lane.
“The staff and crews of the Tampa Water Department appreciate everyone's patience during this time,” the department said in a statement.
