Missing baby from Sebring found safe

Law enforcement canceled the Missing Child Alert Thursday afternoon.

SEBRING, Fla. — UPDATE: The child was found safe and the Missing Child Alert was canceled at 1:10 p.m. on April 18.

A Florida Missing Child Alert was issued for a 7-month-old baby out of Highlands County.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said the child was last seen in the area of State Road 17 North near Sugrue Avenue in Sebring.

The area is near Dinner Lake off Sebring Parkway.

He was wearing a green onesie. The little boy is said to have black hair and brown eyes. 

FDLE said he may have been with 22-year-old Alexis Thomas. Thomas was last seen wearing a tan shirt and shorts of an unknown color. She has multiple tattoos of various symbols on the fingers of her left hand. 

Thomas is said to be about 5 feet 4 inches with brown hair and hazel eyes.
