CLEARWATER, Fla. — Authorities are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run after it left an elderly woman injured, Clearwater police say.
The department says the incident happened around 8:36 p.m. Tuesday near the parking lot of Rumba Island Bar and Grill, located off of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. The driver reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
Police say a 75-year-old woman was left seriously injured following the incident. She was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, where authorities say she is in critical condition.
