Deputies on the lookout for drunk drivers on St. Patrick's Day

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DUI patrol on St. Patrick's Day.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Pinellas County deputies will conduct a DUI saturation patrol and be present on highly traveled roads on St. Patrick's Day, according to a news release.

Saturation patrols are aimed to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage associated with traffic crashes caused by impaired driving. 

The sheriff's office advises people to plan a designated driver or a safe way home ahead of time and to call a taxi or sober family member or friend to drive them home if they are impaired. 

The patrol will run from 6 p.m. on Sunday to 3 a.m. on Monday
