Mark Sanchez clarifies comments about Philadelphia fans being 'nicer'

On Monday night, Mark Sanchez took to Twitter to clarify what he meant when he told reporters at Eagles training camp that “the fans are a lot nicer now” that he’s on the Eagles.

In his Twitter post, he tried to clarify that he meant Eagles fans were nicer to him now than when he was on the Jets — not that Jets fans were that tough (though to be fair to Sanchez, they often were a bit tough).

“I have nothing but good things to say about my time in NY and I’ve always said the fans were tremendous,” he wrote. “It’s unfortunate that the 1 reporter out of the 10 I spoke with today chose to take those comments out of context.

“Everybody else knew what I was talking about.”
