Police investigate person using flamethrower to set flag and trees on fire outside of Uhuru house in St. Pete

The police department says detectives are investigating and searching for the person responsible for the fire.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg police are investigating a fire that happened Saturday morning at the Uhuru House.

A video from the African Socialist Party USA's Facebook account shows a person using a flamethrower to set fire to a Pan-African flag flying on a pole outside the headquarters of the Uhuru Movement.

No damage to anything else was reported, and no one was hurt.

The police department says detectives are investigating and searching for the person responsible for the fire.
