10 Weather: Things are warming up across Tampa Bay!

Temperatures turn warmer, near the upper 80s, by the weekend!

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — We have returned to the trend of cooler mornings and pleasant afternoons thanks to a dominant area of high pressure. This will put a hold on any rain for the next several days while easterly to southeasterly winds will help warm temperatures day by day.

Today we have a nice comfortable start with mostly clear skies followed up by a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon with no rain! We want to stress the dry air and low dewpoints do not only make it less humid but allow for us to warm up quickly to the 80's.

On Friday thankfully the humidity remains low, with afternoon temperatures turning warmer-than-average with highs ranging from the mid-to-upper 80s. Because of this, it will not be unbearable like the summer months. Rain remains absent through the end of the forecast period; this could lead to an increased danger with fire weather so keep track of any dry brush or vegetation around your property as an extra precaution.

This weekend points to continued dry weather, with easterly winds turning breezy and even gusty at times which could lead to choppier water. Be on the lookout for rip currents and exercise caution if you plan to enjoy some time out on the water.

Next Week: Dewpoints are on the rise late next week so we know all good things must come to an end so be sure to enjoy the beautiful conditions before the humidity returns!
