ORLANDO, Fla. — Ahead of President Donald Trump's expected campaign announcement, the Orlando Sentinel's editorial board published its endorsement for the 2020 election: "Not Donald Trump."
Trump's re-election announcement is expected during Tuesday's rally at the Amway Center in Orlando.
In its editorial, the Sentinel said "there's no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump."
Through the rest of the editorial, the Sentinel links and cites its reasoning behind not endorsing the president, including fact checks -- using a Washington Post database that says the president has made more than 10,000 lies over his presidency so far.
For his part, President Donald Trump says support for him remains high.
"The Fake News doesn't report it, but Republican enthusiasm is at an all time high. Look what is going on in Orlando, Florida right now!" the President tweeted Tuesday morning. "People have never seen anything like it (unless you play a guitar). Going to be wild -- see you later!"
