PLANT CITY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible homicide in Plant City.
Sheriff’s deputies found a woman with upper body trauma around 12:15 a.m. Monday outside a home on West Trapnell Road near Edwards Road.
Hillsborough Couty Sheriff's Office spokesperson Crystal Clark said deputies are looking for the person or people responsible for the woman's death.
Clark said the sheriff's office does not believe there are any other victims.
Deputies are also talking to neighbors to figure out who might have seen something. The sheriff's office is also awaiting a search warrant to get inside the home.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 911.
The sheriff's office does not believe the case is related to a shooting near a Walgreens parking lot shooting in Brandon. In that case, the sheriff's office said a woman was shot inside of a car.
