BRADENTON, Fla. — Manatee County deputies said a man was shot by an unknown person Thursday night.
Investigators said the victim was walking to the front door of their home when an argument started with the suspect.
Deputies said the victim’s mother and their roommate heard a loud bang before the victim walked inside. When the victim got inside they had a gunshot wound on their chest and then collapsed, law enforcement said.
The victim was taken to the hospital where they later died, according to investigators.
Deputies said they don’t know who the victim was arguing with before the shooting or if the shooter was known to the victim.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and the Gold Star Club of Manatee County is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the victim’s death.
