Port Richey mayor Dale Massad's pretrial hearing set for next month

Court documents released earlier this month show Dale Massad used crack cocaine and meth every night.

Former Port Richey Mayor Dale Massad is scheduled to appear in court next month.

Massad has a pretrial hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. on May 15. The former Port Richey mayor was initially scheduled to appear in court Thursday, according to court records.

Court documents released earlier this month show Massad used crack cocaine and meth every night. Massad is also accused of using drug runners to do his “dirty work.”

According to records, while Massad held elected office, he also played personal doctor for many of his friends, tending to injuries on his own kitchen table.
