TAMPA, Fla. — Inkwood Books, in business for 25 years and one of the few independent bookstores remaining, announced Thursday that it will close its doors.
The bookstore posted on Facebook that the last day of business will be March 31.
All books and merchandise will be 30 percent off, and greeting cards will be 50 percent off.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, another tenant expressed interest in the Tampa Heights location, and owner Stefani Beddingfield felt it "might just be time" to close the store.
"I hope someone else does it. I think the location could be great, but it’s not there yet, and I just ran out of the finances to hang on.”
