PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- It was a tense situation.
The two Pasco County deputies had been called to the home by a call of a possible burglary. The front door had been shattered.
They knew someone was inside.
One of the deputies entered and scoped out the scene. Checking out the bathroom, the deputy found the culprit.
This was no ordinary call.
The officers knew there was only one way to draw out the culprit. Gingerly, they positioned themselves outside and threw open the door.
The culprit, a deer, bounded outside.
The deer remains at large.
