10 Weather: More warmth and humidity to wrap up the week

Sunny, yet muggy, conditions persist through much of the weekend, with temperatures turning hot each afternoon.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — We're in for a fantastic evening forecast as lows fall in the upper 60s under mostly clear skies. We could see a few areas of patchy fog overnight through early Saturday morning. Otherwise, it'll be a mild and muggy start to the weekend.

This weekend: Kenny Chesney and Lightning watch parties, along with other events, are happening across the Tampa Bay area — and all should go off without any rain, but be prepared for continued heat and even more humidity.

We could see a tiny bit of relief from a stray passing shower, mainly inland, on Sunday. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear light colored loose fitting clothing to prevent heat exhaustion.

As we wrap up the weekend, our next front will move through, bringing a chance of rain to our northern counties late Sunday through the rest of the region on Monday, but don't expect a great change in temperatures as highs continue to climb in the middle 80s. Rain chances are around 30-40% Monday so we can finally feel a little brief relief from the heat and allergies.
