TAMPA, Fla. – Mayor Bob Buckhorn is making his formal budget presentation to the Tampa City Council this morning.
The budget could be close to $1 billion, and Buckhorn says he's not asking for property tax increases like he did last year, which marked the first time in 29 years the city raised property taxes.
In September, the Tampa City Council will hold two public hearings on the budget. The city council must approve a balanced budget by the end of September.
