Storms across Tampa Bay produce street flooding and power outages

TAMPA, Fla. -- Storms across Tampa Bay Sunday caused issues with traffic and power and may be responsible for one death.

Street flooding was prevalent primarily through South Tampa roads and intersections, including Bay to Bay Blvd. and Dale Mabry, and Henderson and Dale Mabry.

Cars were being stalled in certain low-lying areas. A group of people was seen helping a stalled car stuck on Bay to Bay Blvd. near Dale Mabry.

Heavy rains caused several Tampa roads to flood. The flooding reportedly made the roads impassable..

The storms are believed to be responsible for one death. A person died after reportedly being struck by lightning on a Sarasota beach Sunday.

Storms caused some power outages across Tampa Bay. In the Sunset Park area of South Tampa,at one point, there were around 1,822 residents without power.
