Florida man accused of threatening to pay bounty hunters to kill police officers

Brian G. Anderson is accused of making threats to pay off a bounty hunter to kill five law enforcement officers via Facebook.

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. -- A Sumter County man was arrested after being accused of making a serious threat to police officers via Facebook.

Investigators said Brian G. Anderson, 53, made threats to kill five law enforcement officers who had been involved in his prior arrests while he was being held in a detention center on other charges.

Anderson said on Facebook that "he has a bounty hunter who will carry these threats out for $500 each," according to authorities. Law enforcement said he also threatened his immediate family members through Facebook.

Anderson now faces two counts of intimidation to write or send a threat to kill or injure. He is being held with no bond.
