HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. -- A fugitive has been extradited from the Dominican Republic to Tampa for an 18-year-old cold case.
76-year-old Jose Antonio Gonzalez faces charges for Failing to Appear for an investigation by the Tampa Police Department in 2000.
His original charges include two counts of Failure to Appear for Lewd and Lascivious Molestation charges and one count of Failure to Appear for one count of Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition.
Gonzalez was extradited with the help of Hillsborough County deputies, the U.S. Marshals, and the Dominican Republic police.
