Ronald Felton, 60, was shot and killed on Nov. 14 in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhood.

SEMINOLE HEIGHTS – Saturday morning, the community of Seminole Heights came together to honor Ronald Felton in a special way.

Felton was one of the four victims killed during a string of murders in the area last year.

He was known in the community for always donating his time to volunteer.

Members of New Season Apostolic Ministries handed out a warm meal free of charge as they raised awareness on their new scholarship fund in Felton's honor, which will help send children in the area to college.

The church also announced they renamed their food pantry. It will now be called the Ronnie Felton Food Pantry.

“Ronnie was one of those individuals that served faithfully. Anytime I called him he was here sometimes he would beat me here. Amen. Making preparations to help the community. His actions matched our mission which is to serve,” says Samuel Lee Washington Pastor for New Seasons.

There are several ways to donate to the Ronnie Felton Scholarship Fund

  • Sending a check to New Season Apostolic Ministries
  • Through Cash App and using the username $NewSeason

The church is always in need of canned food donations.

You can call them at (813) 598-8466 or drop off your donations at 5100 N Nebraska Ave. in Tampa.
