2 people injured when hot air balloon hits power line in Pasco Co.

The injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- Two people were injured when a hot air balloon hit power lines in Pasco County Saturday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, the balloon operated by Aerial Adventure Tampa Bay was landing near the Groves shopping center in Wesley Chapel when it made contact with the power line.

Hector Vega, 37, and Ashley Vega, 33, suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The pilot, Michael Braun, 62, wasn’t injured.

Both the FAA and NTSB had been notified.
