Police looking for driver involved in fatal hit-and-run in Pinellas Park

According to a news release, the crash involved a bicyclist, who was struck in the 12100 block of 66th St. N. around 8:46 p.m.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. -- The Pinellas Park Police Department is searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run Tuesday night.

According to a news release, the crash involved a bicyclist who was struck in the 12100 block of 66th St. N. around 8:46 p.m.

The bicyclist died from his injuries and has been identified as 56-year-old John Robert Glenn Instasi.

The vehicle involved in the crash is being described as an older model, SUV-type, and is believed to be tan or light-colored with possible front-end damage. The vehicle could also have a dim right rear brake light.

There is currently no description on the driver involved.

The vehicle was last seen driving northbound on 66th St. towards Ulmerton Rd.

Northbound lanes have been reopened on 66th St. at 118th Ave. after a further investigation was performed.
